My BVAD is DONE! Actually I graduated quite some time ago now, but I'm always slow with the update. I've been spending most of my time working on my knowledge for my next degree, mainly CHEMISTRY. You know the Other Science. *Sigh* I'm not as bad as I thought, if it's something I can study and with repetition learn by heart I'm okay with it, my years in university have helped like that! I've also been working on and off, I'm a temp in the hospitality industry, so I just pick up what's on offer here and there which suits me for now!
I haven't put up any new work in awhile, but I am working on a second commission for my lovely friend Jess <3 They're mostly re-creations of my major work, which is fun as I get a second bite at the apple and can fix what I disliked in the first one!
I went to Europe for 2 months so I'm dying to paint some of the scenes I experienced there! That'll be my next port of call after this commission is finished. I haven't been doing any portraits/people in awhile, so I might try one of those to see how much my skills have deteriorated by lack of use, haha landscapes are so much easier though!

All Done!!
It's been quite awhile since I completed my major and all, but I figure might as well update that fact here at some stage...soooo It's Done! Yay! I got a HD for it and I was very happy about how it turned out, I'll always be able to find issues here and there as is the nature of a perfectionist. But overall I accomplished what I wanted to show everyone and I didn't feel like I'd let myself down, which is good!
All my friends came to the opening of the show and I showed some of my family around later in the week, it was definately something I'll remember with warm feeling, ^^ my first ever group show! ^^
Now I've got to finish off my bachelo
Major Time!
I'm doing my major for my uni degree this semester, oh man so so sooooo want to do well, I'm going to be working like a CRAZED person, I've set myself quite the task. I'm doing oil painting obviously and I'm doing seven canvases, which vary in sizes from 102 x 122 cm (my largest canvas) down to middle range and two small ones. I'm not one to put all your eggs in one basket so I figure with seven I'm sure to have at least something to show at the end of year exhibition. Gah. I'm recreating a Hobbes' quote in my own style, their all landscapes with a dominant tree as the main subject, clearly in my proposal that explanation is way longer, but

Hm, figured I'd update seeming as I'm now a BVAD student not diploma, still at ACU and loving it, I got an offer from COFA but I decided I was happier where I am. ^^ It's hard work, but I'm not opposed to that.
I'll probably have a mass upload later of all the stuff I've done for assessments so far.

Well I got into acu which is good no newcastle moving for me Yay! I'm doing a diploma of visual arts and design, parts of it are hard like all this theory, wow those lecturers can talk... Ultimately things are going alright I'd say. I made the decision that it'd be atleast a year before I get a puppy, I just want to consentrate on what I'm doing right now and not worry I'm not spending enough time with my pup. So yea, it's kinda aw darn it.. but i know i made the responsible decision and mum's happy.
Oh and I was sick and now I am better which rocks man being sick my first week at uni sucked, especially when you run out of tissues, oh no def
